Cashier

We are currently looking to hire for the position of cashier. This position requires interaction with customers and the ability to process sales transactions quickly, efficiently and accurately. We are looking for applicants that are detail oriented, professional and dependable.

Cashier Duties Include:

• Operate cash register / POS system.
• Collects customer payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers; making change for cash customers.
• Answering phone calls.
• Provide customers pricing information.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Position Requirements: Exceptional customer service skills, 1-2 years cashier experience, able to work in a fast paced environment, must be friendly, capable of multitasking, previous retail experience (preferred), computer literacy, familiarity with POS environment, bi-lingual preferred, must be willing to work weekends.

Retail Maintenance

Retail Maintenance Associate is a key part of the overall success of the nursery and helps maintain plants quality and store cleanliness. This person will be working 5 days a week. Weekend availability is required.

Maintenance Duties Include:

• Provide exceptional customer service
• General nursery clean-up:  sweeping, dusting, washing windows, restroom clean-up
• Watering and fertilizing all sections of nursery
• Price and stock inventory
• Register functions
• Assist in customer carry-outs
• Read and learn about product lines carried in the Garden Center
• Follow safe work practices and report any unsafe working conditions to management
• Perform other related duties and assignments as requested

Position Requirements: Personable, outgoing individual, willing to learn nursery person skills; enthusiastic, self-motivated individual.

Sales Associate

Our sales associates engage customers by providing superior customer service from greeting them to assisting in loading their purchases. They also take good care of plants and the store.

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years horticultural retail sales experience or sales with extensive plant knowledge
• Provide exceptional customer service to customers in person and on the phone
• Possess excellent communication and computer skills
• Must be friendly, capable of multitasking and detail oriented
• Assist customers with garden related questions and recommendations
• Assist in general nursery maintenance including watering, cleaning, and pruning plant material
• Process sales quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• POS experience required
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Weekend work mandatory
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Requires working indoors and outdoors
• Participate in weekly sales meetings
• Assist in receiving merchandise
